A “High-tech Company”

This company operates in a demanding technical market where products must have a lot of functionality. As a result they design complex printed circuit boards that could be very demanding on the manufacturer.  For example one board has 22 BGA packages spread across both side of the PCB.  Microtech was involved during the product development stage and was able to provide “Design for Manufacture” assistance.  As a result the boards now run smoothly through the manufacturing stage and can be fully tested using boundary scan / jtag.  To intimidate the inexperienced, some of the BGAs have 1070 balls!  Having a close relationship with the customer means that the technology no longer holds any terror.

A “Busy Company”

A company supplying products into the medical market was developing and launching a range of new products. Inevitably their engineers were finding it difficult to complete the designs on schedule whilst continuing to support the existing products in production.
